NEEL 47 – Exceptional trimaran combining performance, safety and comfort

The NEEL 47 represents a new generation of cruising trimarans, designed to offer an uncompromising maritime experience. Designed by the Marc Lombard Design Group, this multihull stands out for its perfect combination of safety, comfort, performance and modernity, making it an ideal choice for demanding sailors looking for freedom and speed.

Safety & Stability at Sea: A Major Asset

One of the most convincing arguments of the NEEL 47 is its remarkable stability. Thanks to an optimised beam and the centering of the weights on the central hull, it offers much safer seamanship than a catamaran, especially in rough seas. On a NEEL trimaran, the critical angle of heel is only reached at around 27°, whereas a catamaran reaches its limit from 12°, making sailing more reassuring and controlled even in difficult conditions.

Its handling is also smoother: rolling movements are limited, guaranteeing optimal comfort, even on long journeys on the high seas.

Performance: a multihull built for speed

NEEL trimarans dominate the competition when it comes to real cruising performance. The NEEL 47 regularly sails at around 10 knots, covering more than 200 miles in 24 hours – with peaks of 15–18 knots when the wind picks up.

Its rigging structure inspired by ocean racing allows for exceptional upwind performance thanks to the excellent rigidity of the forestay. The trimaran also tacks with an ease comparable to that of a monohull, which reinforces the pleasure and control of the boat.

Simplified manoeuvring for a small crew

All manoeuvres are grouped together at the helm, ensuring comfort and efficiency both at sail and at anchor. Easier solo sailing, a choice of classic or carbon performance rigs, three sails as standard and up to three headsails possible: everything is there for versatile and serene use.

The accessibility of the helm station and the 360° visibility further enhance ergonomics and safety on board.
Unrivalled cruising comfort

With 93 m² of living space, including 15 m² dedicated to technical areas, the NEEL 47 offers one of the best use of space on the market.

The design concept is centred on conviviality and well-being:

Cockloon®: an open, bright and modular space of 32 m² that can accommodate up to 10 guests
Full Beam Cockpit®: smooth circulation, no annoying hardware in the cockpit
Windows® Anti-SLR: optimal visibility without reflections and without overheating

The galley benefits from a panoramic view and ideal ergonomics both when sailing and at anchor.

A unique owner's cabin on a multihull

The owner's suite is positioned on the main deck, offering:

A 270° panoramic view

Direct access to an XXL family bathroom

Excellent ventilation

Plenty of storage space

In total, the boat can offer 3 to 5 cabins depending on the configuration, with private cabins in the floats and optional forward cabins offering real adult berths.

Robust construction and exemplary technology

The NEEL 47 benefits from a composite process of infused rigid sandwich foam, combining rigidity, lightness and excellent resistance to osmosis. The structure has been studied with specialists in the construction of high-performance multihulls in order to optimise strength while limiting unnecessary weight.

The technical areas are well organized and easily accessible, with large storage volumes suitable for long sailing.

Conclusion: The best of both worlds
The NEEL 47 ticks all the boxes of modern cruising: fast, safe, spacious, easy to maneuver and equipped for the high seas. It combines the ease and stability of a multihull with the performance and responsiveness of a monohull. An essential reference in its category, as much for round-the-world trips as for high-end family getaways.

Our opinion:
The fast offshore cruise... Upwind and downwind. Sensations guaranteed and easy to manoeuvre. Exceptional seaworthiness.
Multiple invoices available on request...
Has a berth (Marine de Cogolin in summer/ Port Leucate in winter)
Possibility of management/rental
Work in progress: Lithium battery park / Solar panels / Inverter / Outdoor table / Beam painting, etc...
